2016 Paramedic & Fire Fighter of the Year

The Ocean City Fire Department’s 2016 Awards Ceremony took place on Saturday, February 25, 2016.  This year’s award recipients are:

Sean M. Sullivan for 2016 Paramedic of the Year and Steven H. Twilley for 2016 Firefighter of the year.  Sean was recognized for his training idea for trial shift drills focusing on EMS.  His peers were proud to see him take the initiative to put it together and follow through on a weekly basis.  Sean and his wife Mia live in Millsboro, Delaware with their three children Giana, Ethan and Jayden.  Sean started his career with the Ocean City Fire Department in 2014.

Steve was recognized for his dedication to help members of the Ocean City Fire Department develop healthy eating habits, and participate in fitness programs to help them remain fit for duty.  Steve lives in Delmar, Delaware with his girlfriend Shannon and their two children Rylynn and Irelyn.  Steve started his career with the Ocean City Fire Department in 2006.

The Ocean City Paramedic Foundation launched the Paramedic and Firefighter of the Year Awards to recognize, praise and honor the hard and tireless work of our paramedics and firefighters.  The awards are peer nominated and selected by the Command Staff for recognition.  This important recognition enables us and people in the community to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of some of our most dedicated individuals.
